THE WAI-VARA CHRONICLES:VOLUME ONE
GOLDSKULL
Eloria Gray can control time, but the golden skull and an immortal enemy means that every second counts in the race to discover why she will decide the fate of her world. Eloria (Ellie) didn’t know that her father was Wai-Vara (a Wave-Rider), and yet the One-Water (the ocean) has haunted her all her life. She runs from trouble, straight into the rough arms of the Brotherhood of Angels, the most famous and noble of the Wai-Vara clans. As she begins a brutal journey across the known and unknown world, she begins to uncover the mystery of her father’s death in pursuit of the golden skull of King Midas and sees that his work set into motion a terrible battle that she cannot avoid. Now an old woman, Ellie reveals a life which happened over three hundred years ago in a different world. She becomes part of the most revered Wai-Vara clans, discovers an ability to stop and maybe even manipulate time, and yet she never seems to have enough of it to stay ahead of Moloch, the immortal Wai-Vara Master who is chasing down the same treasure she does: the golden skull. Whilst she does not struggle alone, those around her, from the brooding leader of the clan, Gabriel ‘Iron Fist’ Farris, to the melancholy architect of her fate, the witch, Sycorax, tread a confusing line between friend and foe. Ellie tells us her story with a healthy dose of sarcasm and self-doubt. She did not seek to be a person of significance, but finds herself at the centre of a prophecy everyone around her knows more about that she does.
